Abstract

The main objective of this proposal was to develop a rapid sensitive and convenient electrochemical method for the determination of Cetirizine utilizing the unique properties of modified electrode. We fabricated modified graphite and graphene mixture paste electrode. These modified graphite and graphene mixture paste electrode allow better sensitivity and selectivity for the determination of Cetirizine in the presence of other molecules and proved better than unmodified paste electrodes. Thus, the fabrication of the modified graphite and graphene mixture paste electrodes has been considered in detail. This modified electrode was used for the determination of Cetirizine and mechanisms also studied. The electrochemical behaviors of Cetirizine at the unmodified and modified electrode were investigated.  Modified sensor remarkably increases the determining selectivity and sensitivity of Cetirizine due to its unique properties. To the best of our knowledge, for the first time here we propose   modified graphite and graphene mixture paste electrode for determination of Cetirizine. The practical application of the electrode is successfully demonstrated for the determination of Cetirizine in real samples.
